Day 1: Anatomic Day

Live Demonstrations & Hands-on Fresh Cadaver

Prof. Zhang has extensive clinical experience of more than 600 cases PE surgeries; more than 3,500 cases of colorectal cancer surgery; more than 1,700 cases of abdominal wall/pelvic floor defect repair and reconstruction surgery; and various types of hernias and complex abdominal wall reconstruction.

Professor Chucheep Sahakitrungruang was graduated Doctor of Medicine in 1995 a nd Colorectal Surgery in 2002 from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He was a Clinic Fellow in Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA in 2007-2008. He has been promoted to Full Professorship since 2012.

Dr. Songphol Malakorn is a Thai colorectal surgeon who graduated with honors from Chulalongkorn University. He is actively involved in clinical care, surgical education, and research, particularly in the areas of minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and colorectal cancer, including young-onset colorectal cancer. Dr. Malakorn also plays a key role in regional collaboration efforts among colorectal surgeons in East and Southeast Asia.

Dr. Darius Aw Kang Lie

Dr. Darius graduated from Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School and completed his surgical training through the SingHealth Residency Programme, obtaining his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (General Surgery). He is a Consultant in the Department of General Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital, Singapore, with subspecialty interests in Colorectal and Vascular Surgery. He completed an Advanced Gastrointestinal Fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, focusing on complex pelvic exenterations, minimally invasive colorectal resections, and advanced proctology. He subsequently undertook a Vascular Fellowship at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, where he trained in the open and endovascular management of aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, and complex revascularisation procedures.

Dr. Khaw is a distinguished expert in the field of pelvic and abdominal surgery in Malaysia. He was honored with the Excellent Service Award in 2011 and was nominated as one of the top ten at the Malaysian Colorectal Disease Society in 2022.

Dr. Ning Su

Dr. Su experienced in clinical diagnosis and treatment of colorectal diseases, with an average of 4,000 patients treated annually and over 1,000 surgeries performed. Specializes in laparoscopic techniques, Da Vinci robotic surgery, and pelvic exenteration for advanced rectal cancer since 2018.
